CEIOPS publicerar underlag om bonusar i försäkringsbranschen

Den europeiska tillsynskommittén för försäkringar, CEIOPS, har publicerat ett diskussionunderlag om bonus inom försäkringsbranschen. Diskussionsunderlaget publicerades i dag på Finansinspektionens, FI, webbplats.

I underlaget skriver man bland annat att ”CEIOPS believes that the high-level principles of remuneration policies developed by CEBS are also generally applicable to the insurance sector. Some insurance related specificities should be allowed for in the implementation of such principles, notably those that are linked to the interests of policyholders and the prevention of any possible conflicts of interest. Although this Paper does not tackle directly the issue of brokers and intermediaries’ remunerations, undertakings should be aware of the fact that they should define commissions and fees in a way that does not have the potential to jeopardise the interests of policyholders.”

Synpunkter på förslaget ska lämnas till försäkringstillsynskommittén senast den 11 september 2009.
